The Indian Heritage Centre (IHC) is seen as a hub for the Little India Precinct, a ‘glowing lantern for Little India’. The key element of the building facade is a glazed curtain wall with structural frame forming a “baoli” diamond pattern.
The main facade of the building also has a mural / artwork behind a glazed curtain wall, which is the key feature of the building façade. There are staircases traversing this façade, which are also used for access between the galleries.
This artwork will be lit clearly and evenly at night. Structural members of the curtain wall will also be highlighted with special effect/colour changing lights to emphasise the ‘baoli’ diamond pattern.
